What is a disposal drain?
A disposals drain is a drain with a flange that will hook up to your garbage disposal. You will need a disposal drain if you have a garbage disposal.
What is a basket (standard) drain?
It is a standard drain when you do not have a garbage disposal.
Are disposal and standard (basket) drain holes interchangeable?
Yes, a standard kitchen sink has a 3.5" drain opening. Disposal and standard (basket) drains are interchangeable.
What's the size of the sink drain?
For kitchen and bar sinks, it's 3.5", while for bathroom sinks, it's 1.5".
Will a CopperSmith drain fit in my 3rd party sink?
Yes, if you have a standard 3.5" or 1.5" drain, depending on your order.
Will my drain change color (patina) over time?
If you ordered a natural metal drain like natural copper or weathered copper, it would change over time. All other drains are not expected to patina over time. Please refer to the specific drain product page for additional product information.
